3D project

I am going to add some posts to this blog of some old creative multimedia programming which I have done. I hope you like it. Here is a 3D animation of a pool table that I made over the Christmas period.

A big glass of link juice

Creative multimedia programming

So on a hot day like today my blog looks parched so I'm going to give it some link juice.

Also I think I've lacked on imagery throughout this project so I'll try and spice it up a bit.

What's left?

Coming to the end of the year I am down to three assignments left. I must create a report for comparing Cake with Code igniter. I must complete a project management file and while I have the report for this SEO project done I will keep blogging away to increase my page rank. My portfolio on issuu.com needs some updating to include Flash, PHP and my phone interface design, however this will be an ongoing job after my exams. Here is a link to the portfolio as it currently stands.

Main project finito

All done

So while still experiencing the tremors of the main project I must say it was quite a busy week. I'm glad that it's done and handed in. Now it's time to concentrate on my SEO project and also my comparison project, which I must do between cake and Code Igniter. After having a two days period without college work, I can say it was nice to surf through the net and browse through some new technology.

A very interesting product I found was the 3D pen. It is amazing to see that a 3D model can actually be drawn by hand. Have a look and see for yourself.

I hope to get this up to at least page three. Here are a few links that I hope may top this up. These link contain some of the software that I have worked with throughout my multimedia education.

While this is a project I feel that the more links to my own website that I put in this blog the better. In the long run it may stand at a higher position in a search rank after I am done with this blog

Another great advert

Similar to my last post here is another example of some great advertising techniques. LG did a magnificent job in promoting the quality of their new televisions through their elevator advert. It really gave a shock element to the audience. I won't give away what it's about but have a look and see for yourself.

Amazing advertising work

This is a great ad. Unbelievable us of Creative Multimedia content. You can see how it really engages with its audience. Of course Pepsi will benefit immensely from this sort of advertising but this style of advertising definitely beats pop up ads that you see online or in applications. Have a look an see for yourself. Pepsi

Local vs international multimedia companies

So where would be your preference to get a job done, an international market or a national market. Theres such a huge market out there the choice is endless. The things to consider are pricing, delivery times, quality and reliability. While many well known sites have great reputations there are quite a few that cannot be trusted. In Ireland local markets can be much more expensive than foreign markets. Which is why so many people rely on online shopping sites such as Amazon and Ebay.
In my own recent experience I had to pick a web hosting contract for my Creative Multimedia Programming website. I looked at the local market and the prices were way out of the range of a student like myself. I came across iPage and there was an offer of $1 a month. After looking into the plan and finding the live chat very helpful I decided to go with it. In comparison to the Irish host I was looking at it saved me €35.

Online forums

Every programmer can come into difficulty with different scripts. Nobody is perfect. It is great to know that there is more than likely an answer to your problem online. The only task is to try and find this answer. Online forums are a great resource for this. Specifically Stack Overflow is fantastic for finding answers to any queries you may have and Git Hub is a great resource for open source file types.

Google isn't just a search bar

Ok so everyone knows the major capabilities of Google. Searching, blogging, cloud storage, android app store, Search analytics, the list goes on. The question I have is how many people know about all the quirky search options Google has. Search any of these for what I find to be great enjoyment.

1. Do a barrel roll
2. Chuck Norris
3. anagram
4. Askew
5. Google gravity
6. Let it snow

It just shows how that a career at Google would be so much more than sitting at a computer computer. It's about innovation, expression of opinions and integration of these opinions into the constant growth of web technology. It would be a sheer privilege to work in the environment of Creative Multimedia Programming for a company like Google.

Some portfolio researching

Here is a great Creative Multimedia Programming portfolio, which I found. It showcases some very good professional design work.

Great course

I would highly recommend for anyone to do a Course in Creative Multimedia Programming in L.I.T. I am in the final few months of the HDip Course and the material that was covered was astounding.
The modules broad range of modules that I have covered in such a short period include.

Interactive interface design (UI Design / Ux Design)
